Established in 1964, Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Healthcare System, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community mental health center serving the Arkansas counties of Arkansas, Cleveland, Grant, Jefferson, and Lincoln for a combined population of 142,000 people. The organization is operated by a board of directors representing each of the five counties in our service area. SABHS's Mission and Vision Statement
SABHS is funded by federal block grants, state per capita funds, the United Way, Medicaid, Medicare, insurance, Title XX contracts, private donations, and individual collections. SABHS is certified by CARF, the Commission on Acreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. SABHS is a member of the Mental Health Council of Arkansas, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the overall health and well-being of the citizens and communities of Arkansas. |
